Welcome to Patna Notre Dame Sisters Society

In 1959, the first affiliation was opened in Patna. Three Sisters were sent to start the foundation. They lived at Kurji Holy Family Hospital, as Notre Dame Academy building was not yet constructed. The first ministry the Bishop entrusted to the Sisters was to care for the little primary school at Kurji that had started in the annex building of Loyola Industrial School. In 1960, the Academy opened in a rented building at Pataliputra Colony. When a part of the Academy building was completed, classes were shifted from the rented building to the present location.
